In preparation for our AusRAIL PLUS exhibition in November, I was fortunate enough to visit the Korea Railways & Logistics Fair or RailLog, to see how the pros do it and boy was I blown away! In just 4 days, BEXCO (Busan Exhibition and Convention Center) is transformed from a blank canvas to absolutely incredible displays. As part of our co-design process, we've invited stakeholders from the disability sector and with lived experience to provide valuable feedback on design and functionality. Rotem SRS Egypt awarded ISO14001 and ISO45001 Certifications Rotem SRS Egypt has successfully awarded ISO14001 Environmental Management System and ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System?from?BSI(British Standards Institution),?a globally recognized certification body based in the United Kingdom. To commemorate this award, a certification award ceremony was held on May 18, 2025, at Cairo in Egypt, making a significant milestone in the company's commitment to sustainable management and employee safety. This award reflects Rotem SRS Egypt's dedication to building and operating an organizational culture that prioritizes sustainable management systems and the safety of its employees. The company plans to actively implement ESG(Environmental, Social, and Governance) management based on more systematic internal management and risk response systems. In addition to the ISO9001 Quality Management System, ISO14001?Environmental Management System and ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System certifications, Rotem SRS Egypt is also pursuing the EN15085-2 certification for railway vehicle and component welding capabilities in the first half of this year. Moving forward, Rotem SRS Egypt aims to expand its services to meet customer satisfaction and trust by continuously enhancing its global O&M (Operational & Maintenance) competitiveness.

Hyundai Rotem assembles new batch of driverless metro trains for Istanbul ? The municipality of the Turkish capital has released a video of the trains being assembled at a plant in Adzapari by Eurotem, a joint venture between Hyundai Rotem and national railway operator TCDD established in 2006. The first vehicles will reportedly be delivered to the metro operator in May, followed by dynamic testing. ? 10 trains will be delivered to provide passenger service on the M12 line. It will open in the end of the year, with 13 km of track, 11 stations and five-minute intervals during rush hours. ? The trains of Hyundai Rotem and TüRASA? will be similar to those that operate on the M8 line from the beginning of 2023. Each trainset is 86 m long and 2.9 m wide, with a capacity of 1,081 passengers and a top speed of 80 km/h. A corresponding contract worth $316 mln was signed with the South Korean company in December 2017. Under the contract, the customer expects to receive 300 metro cars with a 50% localisation level to enable driverless operation on several lines of the Istanbul metro. ?
